Ogden Couple Sentenced For Sex Trafficking Charges Following Victim testimony

OGDEN, Utah – After pleading guilty to two counts of human trafficking a piece, Lynnsie Reddish and Terrance Jones were sentenced Monday to a 1-15 year prison sentence.

Reddish and Jones were arrested in July of 2017, and charged with 16 felony offenses stemming from a, “long-term sex trafficking operation that ran out of their residence in Ogden City,” Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes wrote.

Man Gets 6 Years For Trying To Pay For Sex With Woman’s Teen daughters

A Pennsylvania man in the area on business gave $200 to a woman, which he thought was the price to have sex with her 14- and 15-year-old daughters.

It was actually a set-up by federal and local authorities, and on Friday, 38-year-old Shane R. Lewis of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to six years in prison by Kane County Associate Judge Linda Abrahamson, according to the Kane County state’s attorney’s office.

On Jan. 8, 2015, Lewis, in DuPage County on business, went to a hotel in Aurora “with the intent to pay to have sex with what he believed would be a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl,” a statement from prosecutors said.

Child Sex Trafficking Plea Nets 19-Year Prison Term For Tulsa Man With Gang Ties

A 22-year-old Tulsa man who ran an underage sex trafficking ring even after he was arrested was sentenced to 19 years in federal prison Monday.

Joshua Lavel Harring will also serve seven years of supervised release upon his discharge from custody.

Harring has been in jail since Jan. 6, 2016, when he was arrested hours after a police officer investigating underage prostitution received minor injuries when he was struck by a fleeing vehicle in the 8100 block of East Skelly Drive.

Texas Man Sentenced To Prison In Human Trafficking Case

A Houston man arrested last year in connection with a human trafficking investigation in Wichita Falls is sentenced to 156 months in federal prison for promoting prostitution, cyber stalking and firearms charges.

29-year-old Joshua William Jackson was arrested in Wichita Falls in April in 2016 after SWAT and Homeland Security Officers raided a home at the corner of 9th and Kemp.

According to the federal arrest affidavit, we obtained ATF Agents found two handguns in his bedroom.

ATF Officers also say the North Texas Trafficking Task Force told them a woman accused Jackson of using force and coercion to get her to engage in prostitution around Texas.

Trucker Accused Of Keeping Women As Sex Slaves Gets 20 Years

SALT LAKE CITY — A Utah trucker who pleaded guilty to keeping women as sex slaves in his semi-trailer as he drove across the country was sentenced Wednesday to 20 years in prison.

Timothy Jay Vafeades, 56, sexually assaulted and brutally beat the victims almost daily after trapping them in his truck and forcibly grinding down their teeth, federal prosecutors said.

One woman told a judge that her months-long ordeal began when she got into his truck to go to dinner with him. She started to worry when realized they weren't going toward any restaurants.

"He then said, 'I got you now. You are mine,'" she said. The vampire-obsessed truck driver controlled nearly every aspect of her life, including how she used the bathroom, she said.

Leader of Virginia Sex Trafficking Ring Sentenced to 35 Years in Prison

A man who was at the center of a violent trafficking ring that sold women and girls for sex throughout Virginia has been sentenced to 35 years in prison.

Michael Maynes Jr., of Spring Lake, North Carolina, led a sex trafficking organization known as "Horse Block Pimpin." 

Maynes prostituted 55 women and girls in Alexandria, Richmond and Charlottsville, according to prosecutors.

Ex-Baptist Pastor From Miller Sentenced To 46 Months In Federal Prison In Child Sex Sting

Joseph Raleigh, a former Baptist pastor in Miller, South Dakota, was sentenced in Pierre this week to nearly four years in federal prison after pleading guilty to attempted trafficking of what he was told was a 15-year-old girl.

Raleigh, who turned 35 last month, was caught last Oct. 16 in a sting by federal, state and local law officers using the internet to place sex ads to which he responded. He was arrested in Blunt, South Dakota.

Texas Teen Faces Sentencing For Sex Trafficking Of Minors

DALLAS (AP) - A North Texas teenager will be sentenced to prison next month for forcing four underage girls to act as prostitutes and for having one of them, a 12-year-old, engage in sex with a man for $50.
  
Federal prosecutors say 19-year-old Luis Rivera of Irving pleaded guilty in October to conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of children.
  
Prosecutors say Rivera and another teen met the girls in late 2014 and took them to an apartment where they were told they needed to have sex with men to earn money for food.
