A human trafficking sting in Compton resulted in 39 arrests and the rescue of a 13-year-old girl, authorities said Friday.
The
girl was released to the care of the Department of Children and Family
Services after freeing her in the sweep conducted Wednesday by the Los
Angeles Regional Human Trafficking Task Force, along with deputies from
the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Compton Station.
Two
women were arrested on charges of soliciting undercover deputies for
various sex acts, authorities said. Sixteen additional females were
arrested on suspicion of loitering for the purposes of prostitution,
authorities said.

Fbi Busts Sex Trafficking Ring Selling 3-Month-Old, 5-Year-Old Sister For $600
he FBI announced 84 underage victims and 120
traffickers were arrested from Oct. 12-15 as part of the annual human
trafficking sting Operation Cross County XI.
“Unfortunately, the number of traffickers arrested—and
the number of children recovered—reinforces why we need to continue to
do this important work,” FBI Director Christopher Wray said in a
statement.
One of the most egregious cases involved a three-month-old girl and her 5-year-old sister. A friend who was staying with the family offered to sell them both for sex to an undercover agent from FBI’s Denver office for $600.

The average age of the victims was 15 years old and the youngest was a three-month-old infant.

Woman Rescued, Two Charged With Sex Trafficking In Monroe County Sting
A Tennessee woman was rescued and two people were charged with
trafficking her through online sex ads during an undercover sting at a
Monroe County motel on Wednesday, according to court records.
Tarkira M. Bell 20, of Richmond, Va., Malik D. Edwards, 39, of Tobyhanna, allegedly met the victim days earlier in Charlottesville, Va., and asked her if she wanted to make money, records show. The victim wanting to get back to Tennessee agreed to go with Bell and Edwards, and they then forced her into prostitution, records show.

Multiple People Charged After Human Trafficking Sting in the Poconos
SMITHFIELD TOWNSHIP -- Ten people are facing charges after police conducted a human trafficking sting in the Poconos.
Officials say that they raided a hotel near Stroudsburg, arresting Malik Edwards, 39, from Tobyhanna and a woman from Richmond, Virginia on charges of human trafficking.

Prostitution sting nets 8 arrests in 4 hours
Eight men were arrested during a four-hour undercover online prostitution sting Wednesday, in one of the busiest single-day sting operations for local authorities, McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara said.
McLennan County Sheriff’s Office investigators kicked off the operation at 7:30 a.m. when detectives posted an online advertisement for prostitution. Undercover officers arraigned for meetings with men at a local motel Wednesday and quickly received 24 responses in the first hour from men interested in paying a woman for sex, McNamara said.
