Texas Man Sentenced To Prison In Human Trafficking Case



A Houston man arrested last year in connection with a human trafficking investigation in Wichita Falls is sentenced to 156 months in federal prison for promoting prostitution, cyber stalking and firearms charges.

29-year-old Joshua William Jackson was arrested in Wichita Falls in April in 2016 after SWAT and Homeland Security Officers raided a home at the corner of 9th and Kemp.
According to the federal arrest affidavit, we obtained ATF Agents found two handguns in his bedroom.

ATF Officers also say the North Texas Trafficking Task Force told them a woman accused Jackson of using force and coercion to get her to engage in prostitution around Texas.

Sterling Heights Man Pleads Guilty To Sex Trafficking Teen Girl





PONTIAC (WWJ) – A 35-year-old Sterling Heights man has pleaded guilty to human trafficking charges involving the sex trafficking of a 17-year-old girl.

Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette says the case resulted from a tip last December from a 15-year-old girl who claimed she was also lured into prostitution by Andrew Golden.

The teen told investigators she’d been picked up in New Jersey several weeks prior by Golden and the minor victim, Schuette said. Golden allegedly stated that he would be taking the girls to Michigan where they would be advertised online for commercial sex.

ST. CLOUD — A St. Cloud woman who pleaded guilty to sex trafficking will serve a year in jail, rather than the more than nine years in prison prosecutors were seeking.
Stearns County District Court Judge Kris Davick-Halfen sentenced 38-year-old Jade Orcena to one year in jail with the possibility of serving approximately 11 years in prison if she violates terms of her 25 year probation. Orcena must also pay a $1,000 fine and abide by several conditions outlined in her probation.

Wildllife & Fisheries Agents Arrest New Orleans Man Wanted For Sex Trafficking

ST. BERNARD PARISH (KLFY) – A New Orleans man is in custody after Louisiana Department of Wildlife & Fisheries agents cited him for boating violations in St. Bernard Parish.

Jean Luc Williams, 26, was spotted by agents on February 26th fishing alone in his vessel along Violet Canal.

Prostitution Boss And Mother Convicted In Columbia Of Multi-State Sex Trafficking

A Gastonia, N.C., man was convicted in federal court in Columbia Friday on eight counts including sex trafficking, child pornography and illegal firearms.

Samuel Pratt, 34, who was arrested in Columbia, ran a sex trafficking business that operated in South Carolina, North Carolina and New York, prosecutors said.

His mother, Daphne Pratt, earlier pleaded guilty to conspiracy to sex traffic children in the case, said U.S. Attorney Beth Drake in a news release.

During the four-day trial, witnesses testified about the manipulation and abuse involved in sex trafficking operations at work in the Carolinas that included children as young as 14 years old, Drake said.

H.B. Man, 26, Gets Over 14 Years In Prison For Trafficking And Having Sex With Teenage Girl

A 26-year-old Huntington Beach man pleaded guilty and was sentenced this month to 14 years and eight months in prison for human trafficking and engaging in sexual activities with a teenage girl.

Antonio Romano Caserta pleaded guilty Nov. 17 to four felonies, including human trafficking of a minor, unlawful sexual intercourse, committing a lewd act upon a child and dissuading a witness by force or threat, according to the Orange County district attorney's office.

In addition to his prison sentence, Caserta will have to register as a sex offender.

Cocoa Man Found Guilty Of Sex Trafficking Of Child

A Cocoa man has been found guilty of sex trafficking of a child, with force, fraud or coercion and production of child pornography by a federal jury, according to the U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Florida.

Kennedy Harris, Jr., 23, of Cocoa faces a maximum penalty of life in prison. Sentencing in the case is slated for December 19.

Harris was indicted on May 11. The Ccooa Police Department came into contact with the victim in this case on February 10.

Man Operating Sex Trafficking Enterprise Gets Life Sentence-Shahid Hassan Muslim, 33, was handed down Tuesday

Federal prosecutors say a man convicted of running a sex trafficking operation that recruited women and girls as young as 16 years old into prostitution has been sentenced to life in prison.

A statement from the U.S. Department of Justice says the sentence for Shahid Hassan Muslim, 33, was handed down Tuesday. A federal jury found Muslim guilty last August of multiple charges, including sex trafficking, kidnapping, production of child pornography, witness tampering and promoting a prostitution business enterprise.

The statement said evidence showed Muslim's sex trafficking enterprise operated in Charlotte and other cities from at least 2010 until his arrest in November 2013. The evidence showed he recruited young women and girls from the Charlotte area and advertised them for prostitution on the Internet.
