Third Suspect Arrested In Fayetteville Teen Sex Trafficking Case

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department's Human Trafficking Unit have charged and arrested a third suspect in connection with a human trafficking investigation that began in September involving a 16-year-old victim.

 Ashley Skinner, 23, of the 3500 block of Ireland Drive, has been charged with felony promoting prostitution of a minor and felony conspiracy to commit human trafficking of a minor victim.

Skinner was taken to the Cumberland County Detention Center and is being held on a $10,000 secured bond.

A second suspect, Antonio T. McAllister, 33, of the 1900 block of Tryon Drive, was arrested October 11 and and charged with human trafficking a child victim, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, promoting prostitution of a minor, felony conspiracy to commit human trafficking of a minor, second-degree forcible rape, and assault on a female.

Multiple Arrested In Connection With Human Trafficking Ring In Alamance County

ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. -- The U.S. Marshal's Office arrested two people Wednesday in connection with a two-month human trafficking and prostitution investigation in Alamance County.

Briana Lashera Morrison, 30, and William Lee Reynolds, 30, were arrested by the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force at the Econo Lodge in Burlington, according to Alamance County Sheriff Terry Johnson.

Two Charged in Maryland with Rape, Human Trafficking, Others


Two men were arrested in Frederick, Maryland, and charged with human trafficking-related offenses, according to Frederick police.

Officers responded to the Super 8 Motel on Monocracy Boulevard for reports of a domestic dispute. When they arrived, a juvenile victim said she was reported missing out of Texas and brought to Maryland by one of the men.

Thomas Duane Jones, 35, of Houston, Texas, and Marvin Bernard Armstrong, 46, of High Point, North Carolina, were arrested. Police said the men were charged with rape, sex offense, human trafficking by force, human trafficking (take cause), false imprisonment and second-degree assault.

Charlotte #1 In NC For Sex Trafficking

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- On average, 78 victims across North Carolina are sex trafficked each year.

Starting this fall, sex trafficking will be addressed in seventh and eighth-grade classrooms across Charlotte.

“We have an issue in our city, and we have to do more,” said Executive Director of Present Age Ministries Hannah Arrowood.

Arrowood is working tirelessly to stop the sex trafficking of young girls and boys across our city.

Alamance County Sheriff Says 4 Girls Missing In Human Trafficking Investigation

ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — Sheriff Terry Johnson says investigators are looking for four juvenile girls in connection with a possible human trafficking case.

Two people were arrested last week in connection with an ineligible student-athlete from Nigeria playing for Eastern Alamance High School and Johnson said Tuesday he thinks it is part of a bigger human trafficking operation.

Cape Fear Community College To Host Panel Discussion On Sex Trafficking

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -
Cape Fear Community College’s Community Involvement and Service Learning Alliance will host a panel discussion entitled Sex Trafficking in the Port City on Wednesday, March 30.

The event, which is part of CFCC's human trafficking awareness initiative, Not4$ale, will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. in the college's Union Station Auditorium and is open to the public.
