Va. Man Indicted On Sex Trafficking, Fentanyl Distribution Charges That Led To Overdoses


HARRISONBURG, Va. (WSET) -- A Virginia man has been charged in a six-count federal indictment with sex trafficking, interstate prostitution, and distribution of fentanyl that led to two overdoses after a grand jury sitting in the U.S. District Court in Harrisonburg.

Kendall Demarko Wysinger, 41, of Manassas is charged with one count of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking, one count of interstate transportation for prostitution, one count of possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl, which caused the death of another, one count of poindicted, ssession with the intent to distribute fentanyl, which caused the serious bodily injury of another, one count of evidence tampering, and one count of witness tampering.

Fugitive Wanted For Sex Trafficking, Child Porn Is Arrested In Golden

U.S. marshals and Golden police arrested a fugitive wanted in Virginia for commercial sex trafficking, production of child pornography and other felonies.

A Russell County, Va., grand jury indicted Angela Dowell-Wilson, 32, on multiple charges on Nov. 24, 2016, according to the the U.S. Marshals Service. Investigators learned that Dowell-Wilson could be living in the Denver area and notified the Marshals Service.

Leader of Virginia Sex Trafficking Ring Sentenced to 35 Years in Prison

A man who was at the center of a violent trafficking ring that sold women and girls for sex throughout Virginia has been sentenced to 35 years in prison.

Michael Maynes Jr., of Spring Lake, North Carolina, led a sex trafficking organization known as "Horse Block Pimpin." 

Maynes prostituted 55 women and girls in Alexandria, Richmond and Charlottsville, according to prosecutors.

Man Sentenced To Over 10 Years In Prison For Sex Trafficking Of A Child

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A South Carolina man was sentenced Tuesday to 10 and a half years in prison for his role in a conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking of a child.

25-year-old Travis C. Brown, of Columbia, South Carolina, was also sentenced to 10 years of supervised release. He will be required to register as a sex offender when he gets out of prison.

Brown pleaded guilty on June 7.
